With their glistening shine and lusty form,
Seducing moves and sudden hiss
They move around...
Looked upon under many lights,
Very feared, demonic -
As compiled in the holy books,
Drawn as against the will of God
Discarded as the devil
But here in this eastern valley,
The serpent valley,
Alchemic is worship
And snake worship auspicious -
Besides the river banks, under the shades,
Within courtyards and in temples
Prayed by those, purified from within,
Adorned as idols of prosperity
To worship them is to heal;
Close your eyes -
Feel them within, with love
A force so natural is bound to come
Taking you to the wombs of the earth
And making move the fertility within you,
Life passionate, protective and fearless
This serpentine energy, quiescent, coiled,
Lies within you, so powerful and spiritual
Heave it as multiple hoods
Spiritually, to preserve the gem within, the soul
And save thy self from the venoms of the world
And be the loved one of the lord -
The lord of lords - the Mahadeva - the Shiva...
